Mini Brittle Stars.

I know everyone thinks they are a huge nuisance, but they are so benefitial to a tank. They can reach any spot in the tank that you can't reach, and if there are too many you can just get rid of them or give them away. The problem is I have no idea how to come by them. I had some many years ago in a tank that has since been given to a friend. I want to get some more again, But I can't find anywhere that sells them. I've been told by LFS for a few months that if they come by them, I can have them for free. No luck yet. If anyone has any idea how I can get these, whether online or in my area, please let me know.

I'd give you some of mine but I have deep crevices in my rocks and that's where the little guys like to be. I wouldn't know the first way to go about removing them without hurting them and all I ever see is their arms sticking out. Now asterina stars... I can get you a good amount of those easily. lol

ive never seen a fish store sell those. If you buy some live rock you could get one or two.

+1...They live deep in the rocks. Buy more live rock.... but you may get a tiny brittle or a bobbit worm. At least you know what is in the rocks for now. That is why I haven't added any new rock, I remember the nightmares of a new tank with new rock..

I actually bought a coral frag just because it had a nest of these on the bottom.
Do you have a local reef club?? Put the word out that you are looking. I'm sure someone local would most likely give you some!!
