mini-dusters?? good sign??

i've noticed lately that on a few of my live rocks are mini-feather duster looking things....is this a good thing?? it makes the tank look better because different color ones are growing out (brown, white, blue, purple, brown and white mixes)...is this a sign of a thriving tank?? or are they just nuiscences?? let me kno thanx....Les

Very good sign. Many of us have made comment on what comes on our live rock. It's part of what makes the rock "live". I give them no special care, and they seem to have been thriving an multiplying for 5 yrs. and have never become a nuicence.

A good sign you got quality rock. If you want to keep them, don't get a 6-line wrasse. They'll eat all of them.

Good point, Pisces. I have never had a six line, but have heard they would do this.

My sixline hasn't eaten any of mine. It is a good sign, I like ones with red dusters.
