Mini feather duster????

Yesterday, I picked up a couple small peices of cured live rock at my lfs that had little small yellow polyps on them that look like mini feather dusters. Once I got them into my tank, most of them opened up thier tops most likely looking for food. I am not exactly sure what they are, but I was wondering what I can use to feed them. My tank has only been cycled for about 2 and a half weeks using lr and ls so I don't think thier is enough food in my system for them to feed on thier own. I also added 2 clowns last night which you can read my other post for that potential problem... any advice would be appreciated.

do you think I could get away with not adding anything? at this point there are somewhere around 20 of them between the two small peices of live rock that I bought... maybe not even that many.

yeah, well being as they were free & just LR hitch hikers, it's up to you...there will probably be some particulate matter in the water that they can filter out...if they are a type of coral at some point you may want to use the DT's still though...

I had a few on my LR and never fed them, I think just eat what ever floated their way. They are still alive going on 4 months. jme.

Are you sure they are feather dusters, could be aptasia, an unwanted pest that spreads like wildfire. Do a search and find a picture of aptasia....that would be my guess as to what you have growing. Let us know.
