Minimum distance between Halides!

Is there a minimum distance I should keep between two halide bulbs. If they are too close will it cause a problem?

Will the bulbs pop is they are too close?

Well I don't have a lot of room inside my canopy. I already have one halide inside and adding another. Just wanna make sure I don't put them too close to each other. I can probably put them at least six inches apart, so I should be o.k.

No I didn't plan on it. I have reflective material in my canopy now.
