most sites on the net suggest a 125G aquarium if required for a clown trigger but this seems a little on the small side to me.
By using the times 6 rule does this mean that a clown trigger which can grow to 50 cm's needs a 10 ft tank ?

ok , thats what most sources seem to say .Would love to get 1 in my 180 G .
by the way if someone knows of a fish that is more eye catching than the clown trigger that can be kept in a home aquarium ,please let me know what it is
Not at all so far but he's only 4.5". I've had him since he was really tiny though and I never saw him be agressive towards another fish. Then again, I don't have any fish that can be easily bullied.
i have had my guy for three weeks now with pinktail and blue throat who are bigger. He is in a 135 gallons doing great not picking on anyone. he is about 3 inches now. 180 would be great for yours just pick your tankmates wisely

He got to be around the size of a football and he was with a miniatus grouper.
I still have the grouper. It was funny, the clown trigger and grouper formed kind of a bond and they slept next to eachother each night.
