Miracle mud in a media bag?

I bought a used sump and I want to make it in to a fuge. I have decided on the mirical mud with some Caulerpa. But looking at my sump I don't know if I can just have a mud bed it might have to be in a media bag, or it will get sucked into the tank.
How will that work with the Caulerpa?
or will it be fine just leaving the mud bed?
This is they style of sump "Amiracle Slim-Line Wet-Dry"

This is a picture of the sump. Do you think a mud bed will stay in the bottom. Or will I have to buy a new sump to make into a fuge or can I add to the one I have? Alter it in some way.

ya, if its reef just take out the bio balls(raise nitrates) and there should be enough room for a fuge and skimmer

I think it might get suck back up in to the tank.
I am having trouble finding a skimmer to fit do you have and brand or modle suggestions?

ya u see where there is a barrier in the wetdry in the pic. u can fill that area with mud and get eggcrate and put it up so that the micro alge cant get by

why wouldnt it, unless u have water dumping on it it will get all murky but, if u have like somthing that will break the water it should be fine

And with a fuge you try not to have alot of flow compared to a sump anyways :) good luck with the project. Sounds like you have it fiarly well figured.
