mirco bubbles

my return pump is picking up alot of bubbles and spitting them into the tank. any ideas on how to solve this problem??
i just have a sump and a skimmer.

Try moving your return pump intake away from the skimmer water exit. You can also put a small sponge over the skimmer exit. Mine did this too for a while. What finally worked for me is I moved the exit arm up out of the water so the water leaving my skimmer falls about 2 inches before it hits the normal sump level water. I also moved my return pump to the other side of the compartment,(6 inches, if that) and added on a 90 degree turn short tube to my return pump inlet and pointed it straight down at the bottom of the sump. Clear as mud right? Simple if you see it, tough to explain.

i think i am having a similar problem... see 'skimmer saga' there is another good solution from KDlbem which i am going to try tonite.
