Missing a Fin

Earlier I wrote for help on my clown fish. He seemed to be acting weird last night. I got some good ideas of what it might be... then today i obsevered for a long period of time that when he wanted to get close to my LR the blue damsel (who i now dislike much) was snapping at him. It is apparent to me that yesterday he did this and took a small piece out of the side fin. My question is will he grow this back?? Will he be ok?? I plan to go wed and get ameona (sp) so he can feel more safe to hide. Also might get him a friend! Last question.... do any of you know a good magazine i can subscribe to???
THANKS :))

Becky, the fin should grow back, but I would get the damsel out and take him back to the store you bought him from, they will usually give you a store credit. As long as he is in there he will rule your tank.. Lisa

I would reccomend using damsels only for cycling, they are very aggresive!!! They will beat up and fish, you place into the tank. Thwy are very teratorial. Take it back to the fish store for a credit.

Get some Kordons Poly Aqua liquid which is a heavy duty fin repairer and water conditioner. The fin will grow back and yes the damsel must go.

Sorry to hear about your loss. the best way to catch the little sob is to use two nets and get as much rock out of the tank as you can. Hope this helps. Good Luck

Becky , I'm so sorry for your lost clown. How we got our damsels out of our tank was by taking a clear plastic container and putting a little bit of brineshrimp in it then stick it down in your tank, have a net ready, when he swims in put the net over the opening and out he goes. I think they are pretty fish, but not to smart...Hope this helps. Lisa :(

Sorry about your loss, if you didn't net your damsel yet, try putting food on the top then when he comes up to eat net him. Hope you do good with your next clown.
