well, short of taking down my aquascape, what the heck should i do? i spent another 15 mins today looking for my anenome. it isnt in my overflow or siphon tube, the slits in my powerhead intakes are WAY too small for it to have gotten into them, plus i dont have mush all over my tank. its not in any visable area and isnt under the rock caves i could see into (the only other caves are my shrimp goby and pistol shrimp caves, but those are under the sand/baserock) where the heck could it have gone? do mythax crabs eat anenomes, and could it have been eatin in such a small amount of time (fed it at 6pm, gone when i checked tank at 7pm last night)?

Is this the first time it has hidden? When I get a new anemone it always hides for a week or so.

it originally planted itself in a really bad area (side back) of the tank, and got really nasty looking (see here ) after watching it a little, i saw it had 2 bristle worms that were eating the food out of it's mouth, plus how nasty it looked i felt it wasn't in a good area. so, i used a powerhead to get it to move away from the spot it was in, and he ended up in the front of my tank, but in a dead coral i have for decoration. i wasn't too happy, but figured he could move if he wanted to. he then moved to the opposite side of the coral (last night when i fed him) and now he's gone. this is the first time he's disappeared.

actually, i have an eggcrate cover to prevent the goby from jumping out so that's a slim to no possibility. i'll try looking in the goby caves when i get home.

Hey I have the same problem, I had my RBTA for almost 8 months and now its gone no where to found? I was about to transfer everything into my new tank and 2 days before the big move got up on morning and it was no where to found? I transfered everything and looked in crevises an nada, it looked like it was happy too, the clown actualy hosted it and had been for 2 months now. I feel bad the little guy is now homeless. here is a picture of the them happy! well so I thought?

I never had any luck with young anemones, do you have any clowns in there?I have seen clowns rip them to bit`s cause the tips on the anemone stung the clowns, think it was a red tipped, the mucus on the clown fish wasn't defencive enough, so the clowns get aggressive against them. so the poor thing`s try to hide out the way.

found him lol. had to turn off my lights to get rid of cyano and he moved out of where ever he was to a spot where light from a lamp was hitting the tank.
unfortunately i just replaced him so now i have 2 anenomes.
