Anyone know anything about Mitra snails? Info seems hard to come by on these guys. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had one for about a year before it died. It was a peaceful neat-looking snail. It usually hid in my sand bed and would be hidden for up to weeks at a time. Every now and then, I would find it on the glass or with its shell exposed.
However, I was told that they prey on some of the beneficial worms in your sand bed and that they are not a good idea for most reef tanks for that reason. I will not be replacing mine.
I have attached a picture of my snail to make sure that we are talking about the same species.

yes we definately are talking about the same species....my mitra's shell looks very similar. Unfortunately it died 2 days after i got it.
i feel like i need a good sand-sifting critter in my tank but i've heard different sides of the story. Some say don't and some say do (get something that "disrupts" the sand bed.
Any opinions?
