Mixing clowns

Quick questions guys. I have a false perc and I just put in a clarkii yesterday. Good or bad? The perc was nipping at him for a second and then they started rubbing each other and following each other around. I am afraid to see what happened when I get home today. Let me know-thanks.

normally it's not a good idea.
but sometimes clowns from the Amphiprion do crossbreed. if that happens, you'll probably produce some interesting looking babies.

Well the clarkii finally made a home in the BTA and he is just fine with the perc. No more pestering. Cool beans! But that is interesting what you said about cross breeding. I think I will read up on that.

some of the existing species now are the results of crossbreeding.
white-bonnet clownfish (expensive and rare) is the likely offspring of pink-skunk and some kind of clark's clown.
i think the general rule is that you can cross Amphiprion but not between Amphiprion and Prernnas (or Maroon)

dont mix as as possible...I have two clarkii's and one ocellaris that cohabitate.....but I wouldn't try that experiment again....had trouble before with some other clowns that were out to kill each other.....
