My husband is making my new canopy <img src="graemlins//angel.gif" border="0" alt="[angel]" /> but we can't figure out the best way to mount the endcaps. We have the hellolights 4 lamp harness kit. Do we need to get some L-brackets to mount these and how did you thread the wires through? We can't wait to get these working! :D

My encaps are not mounted. They are just free floating. I bought the lamp holders and screwed them into my canopy.

hmmm - so do you have them mounted to the lid? I was hoping to mount them to a ledge below the lid so that I don't blind myself every time I open it.
I have 2 actinics and 2 50/50 lamps, which ones would you put where, front to back?

I didn't see this post- sorry for the belated response. What I did is get 2 of those metal bracket rings that hold your dryer exhaust tubing to the outlet hole (the ones that you stick a screwdriver in to tighten). Anyway I cut the ends off so I had 2 metal strips that had slots every few cm's or whatever. I got my endcaps and screwed them onto the metal strips spaced evenly. Then I screwed the whole strips with 3 endcaps each at either end of the hood.
I included pictures because I know this might be a bit confusing.
As far as lamp order I would do ACT, 50/50, ACT, 50/50 from front to back.
I just ran the wires out the back of a hole in my reflector and made sure I had them twistie tied together.
The good thing about the holes in the metal I attached the endcaps to is that every so often on either side you can put a tie through the hole and secure your wires to the side so they dont sag.

Thanks Justin! I never would have thought of using those dryer clamps. The pics are definitely helpful.
