Modern coral

Did anyone here of a modern coral, it looks like a red a has small bubbles like a bubble coral. when i looked at it at the LFS it was on a piece of live rock. When they shipped it home it was the head only no rock. I tried sitting it a ledge but it is up high and doesn't look that good. The color seems to be washed out. Can I sit it in the sand bed. I have T5 bulbs

Does it look anything like this? I just snapped a quick pic, it's actually kindof closed up right now but wondering if it resembles your coral??

It is a single head bout 1 1/2" in diameter. Very bright red.

should be fine on the sand bed, and the description sounds more like a cynaria.
