ok. i'm not really sure if these are mojanos or zoas. i did experiment with some joes juice on some of these in my tank. i probably have close to 2 dozen of these scattered throughout my tank. they do look like zoas so i have left them. the joes juice experiment seems to have worked on the 4 that i tried it on. however, i do not know it if would do the same thing if you squirted it directly on zoas. any help would be great.
thanks.

They are mojos, you can tell for sure by the skirts. Another way to tell is by touching one/ Does it completely recede into the rock? When zoos close, you can still see the closed polop.

another way to tell is to look at the base if it looks like a straqight tube to the rock its majano, if it has encrusting tendrills spreading from the base its a zoa. But I agree with puffer that they are majanos from the picture.

after going on your suggestions here and on another forum, i decided to attack these anemones to stop them from spreading. well........they won't die. i have shot them 3 times with joes juice, nothing. 2 times with lemon juice, nothing. injected them once with lemon juice, nothing. and last night, i finally injected them with boiling water........nothing. they keep coming back...........

what are my options here? any suggestions?

I would get a big pot of r/o water, boil it and concentrate on one at a time. Slowly squirt the boiling water directly onto it while its open, and when it retracts, continue to let the 212 roll. If I squirted you with boiling water and you ran away you would eventually be ok. But if I chased you down dousing you in boiling water you would die. Like the analogy? I do...

I tried the lemon juice and boiling water on mojanos, but they are tougher than aptasia.
My best results came from using kalk paste. Just take some kalk powder and add ro water till you get a thick liquid. blast those little buggers and if you get it down their hole, they wont be coming back ever. I even cleared the corraline where they were accidently.

I just thought about it though, and I bet if none of this works you could just turn the rock over and you would be good to go.

between all of the treatments, i've probably attacked them 8 times so far.....

I've just always "blasted em". I stole a snot sucker out of my sons diaper bag and use that little bulb to squirt it on whatever I'm trying to kill. I just slowly squirt it onto the target pest until the bulb is empty, and that way they are exposed to shocking temperatures for 20-30 seconds. Good luck!

P.S. - I've tried injection, that sounds like it would work... Do you actually use a needle and syringe?
