When shrimp molt, will the old shell have coloring?

It will have some coloring, but be pretty much translucent.

In the case of the emerald crab it will look like you have another emerald or a dead one.
My blood shrimp almost looks real as well but as bigarn said more translucent, same with the cleaner shrimp.
Others like pods will just look like a white floating husk.

A cleaners molt will be transluscent....

yep, it will be like him but not as colorful as the real thing. (should not have as much coloring)

Hermit crabs' molt will look identical to a live crab. They do this so that predators will spend time on the decoy molt while they hide and let their new shell harden.
