I just started to build a clean up crew. I have 4 Margarita snails and 4 scarlet hermits acclimating right now. I keep reading about molting, what exactly is it? Thanks.
you will see what looks like a dead crab or shrimp, the molt looks just like a living one, just somewhat transparent.
You don't need to do anything, just pick out the empty molt if you want to.
Your clean up crew will take care of the shedded material if you don't want to. Make sure you have empty shekks for your scarlets as they grow they will need larger homes.
