Here are a few pics of my DunKan's bought from 3 different sources.
5/9/2008
left one single head Dunkan from Mr Coral, 4 babies pushing out
right one is 3 head ORA Dunkan from viper_903

6/1/2008
(bad photos)
- Bottom one, single head Dunkan from LFS. By far the slowest growing of my 3. Had it for a few months and now it's finally pushing a few babies. Head size the smallest of the 3
- Middle one is the Mr Coral one after Turbo snail was all over it so it's all shrunk showing the babies attached to the sides
- Top one is the ORA Dunkan which is a MONSTER.

Picture from the front of the tank. ORA is on the right, HUGE disk

what kind of flow do you have them in? my duncan isnt opening up as much as it did in the LFS so i think its because i had it in a mod to high flow area. I just moved it to a lower flow area but the lights went out before it had a chance to chill from the handling.

I have them in the end of a flow from Koralia 4 about 45 inches away from the PH.

Nice. I should be getting a couple in the next few days. Any advice to a newb in Duncans?
If you can get your hands on ORA Dunkan's they are worth the higher price tag. By far the nicest ones. They run about $30/head. I've noticed that Dunkan's (at least mine) are fairly sensitive to move. If I move them around, they close up and it takes a good 2 days to open well. Also they thrive when you feed them meaty foods. I feed mine about twice a week and they of course grab food from the water column. Size of the heads vary from day to day but when they are their happiest and hungry, the head is huge!

I'd say without being a lier that they are larger than silver dollar... my guess would be 1.5 inches inside the tenticles (just the disk), with tenticles we are talking maybe 2.5 inches. The ORA one has really long tenticles, that's why I call them monsters :)

More than a couple.

Feed everyday with meaty foods and they will go nuts. They are an LPS so keep the Alk/Cal up for skeletal growth as well.
