I was just curious setting up a brand new 100 gallon reef tank with about 10 smaller fish what you'd estimate with the power and food the extra monthly cost would be? Thanks for the input.

The first few months go ahead and budget a couple of hundred dollars.. things like, oop's I need a skimmer, and oops I cant see the rocks becuase of the algae will cost you alot of money.. and if your starting with 10 small fish already and you didnt let the tank cycle for a while.. well.. go ahead and budget 10 more fish.. But I think my tank's use about $20 a month in electricity.. I didnt notice a huge spike when I set either of them up.. and for food.. maybe $5 a month.. if you feed brine..

I don't have any fish yet. I'm getting them over time slowly after cycling.. Thanks for the info though. How many damsels do you need to start with? I dont' want a bunch as residents.
