I have a monti cap in my 30g with 182W PC lighting. The lighting is ok - I have to have it a couple inches below the water level. I can tell it's getting enough light now cause it's growing out instead of up.
I've found more issues with my water quality and flow with it. While it's still growing, the middle older part is starting to get micro algaes on it or similar and is dieing off. My water levels are perfect, but still have algae growing from somewhere. They aren't kidding when they say pristine water quality.
