montipora & lighting question

ok so i tried asking in the same post in reef tanks when i posted some new pics of my new light and no one will reply to me so i will try here, i have a new light on my tank, its a 96w sundial t-5 ho, i really like to know if i could have some montipoa in my tank now with better lighting than i had on there,
im not sure if im asking the right question or what but i would love to know from some of you out there
just looking for some sort of reply

What's the volume and dimensions of the tank? T5 can certainly be used for SPS if the fixture is powerful enough for the tank you're using it on. As an example, my frag tank is a 20L (13 inches tall) and I have the Sundial 30" model with 4x 24w bulbs. There are currently only montis in as far as SPS but I'll be putting some in acros and probably other SPS in time to grow out before putting them in my DT.

Well, that power seems like sorta low wattage for how high your 37g tank is. If you still have the PC light, I would run both (if you can fit them) and then you could do montis high up in the tank. Otherwise, I can't say whether they'd make it. You can always try a small frag placed very high up in the tank and see how it goes, though I'd suggest trying monti-capricornis since they'll require less light than digita or other encrusting types.
