Hey Guys:
My moon coral is sick. It looks like one of the "craters" has rotten away. I don't know how to describe this but it looks like it's starting to rotten. Please help!!! I tried tp take a pictur but it does not show the affected area. I was killing some majanos and I found the spot. I cleaned the syringe I was using with Joes Juice, and sort of squirted the little section. What can I do?

cut away the bad section back to where the coral is not affected. That will keep it from spreading over the entire coral. You should avoid juicing your corals. If you do make sure to blow it off with a powerhead or something.

I had this happen to the one I had too, I didn't have proper tool to frag it off at the time, and I should have but didn't dip the coral either. Eventually all the tissue started to fluff off, sometimes in big mats(multiple corallite sections). I would maybe frag off the section like mentioned with a dremel and cut-off wheel(Heavy duty one, not the cheapo ones) or a small wet tile saw and then dip it in Lugol's solution per instructions. Good luck, I hope you can turn it around, I sure wish I would have been on the ball on that one, they are pretty corals and not often seen at the LFS, at least the couple I frequent.
