I have seen lighting set-ups that have a dim blue light to serve as a moonlight or something. Will a dim light in the same room serve same function?
I leave a light on so when I cut the tank light they have some light to find a spot to hide/sleep.
Also, my light flickers dim or off sometimes. And most times I have to turn the bulb to get it to come on instead of just hitting the switch. I've tried taking it out and checking the connections. I ordered it online and don't want to pay the shipping to send it back. I tried flipping it so the ends are down at the opposite end and I just want it to work everytime I hit the switch. Could it be something internal or a bad bulb? It's just a basic flourescent 48in. bulb that came with the top.
