About 3 weeks ago I transfered all saltwater livestock from their little 33 gallon long reef to their new 90 gallon reef, looks so beautiful but I want to put moonlight in, just wanted your opinions about what may be best.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. :jumping:

Moon lights are moon lights. Coral life makes a decent moon light that is much brighter and nicer IMHO than most. Its actually a LUXEON which is sort of a cluster of LED"s under a optical lends.......The main thing to look for is correct wave length (color) You want lights inthe 460-470 nm range.
Another neat look is to use UV LEDS. They make the tank look like a black velvet painting of Elvis and actually makes lots of stuff stand out that does not really stand out under typical Moon lights. Coraline especialy looks super under UV. The UV LED's are not the same wave length a used to sterilize etc its a totally different specturm so there is no harm in looking at it. Sort of along the lines of a black light. Or make yur won (very easy to do and much cheaper) and make the lights a mix of UV and 460/470NM for a really nice effect that still looks just like typical lunar lights would.
