Moon lights - what are they good for?

Hi I have seen some talk about moon lights but what is benefit of having one. Do they help with corals, mushrooms, fish? Please let me know.

Some would say that it helps simulate the light of the moon (duh) and promotes spawning. I just think they look cool.

it is for looking in the tank at nights and represents the moon you dont have to have it but i would perfer it

No, I'm dead serious.
Packaging of a specific brand of moonlights say "promotes spawning". I've seen fish in a tank spawn w/o the use of these lights.
Other people say that they like and use the moonlights b/c of the look.
I have two fans built in to my canopy. The fans have blue LEDs, and barely light the tank at all. Those are my moonlights.

One of my zoo colony looks super green in the morning after my lights go one. It's been happening since I got my moon lights.
