Moorish Idol Keeping

I am setting up a new 90 gallon reef tank. I want to basically make a Moorish Idol habitat. I understand the concerns with Moorish Idols in captivity, and I was wondering if anyone could give me first hand knowledge of your experiences with these beautiful creatures! Many thanks to anyone who can help!

Purchase Banner fish instead - they look like moorish idols but they will live.
In a fish tank less than 500 gal the mortality rate of a these fish is about 1%.
they just don't adjust.

Yeah go with the schooling bannerfish - looks are similar and are extremely hardy compared to the moorish idol. They require a diet that cannot be duplicated in the home environment.

I agree with the banners. But if your hooked on the idol only get it from your best lfs. I don't recommend one from the internet due to the fact it's not eating. Befoe buying it, only get it if it is eating, no disease and is fat. Only due this when buying one, but even if you find one like that it may just die off.
