More frag questions

Okay, so I have these paly's that are growing new stalks from the middle of other stalks. It's crazy looking. How can you frag these off?

this is called budding and most of the time when they reach a certain size it will detach from the mother polyp and fall to another place in the tank. these are a bit hard to frag off because if you go to deep you could kill the mother polyp to shallow the budded polyp. the easyiest way is just as they start to fall off collect them and attach where you want them to be,

So when you frag a zoo or a paly you have to have some of the base tissue for them to survive?

normally they grow in a matt and you cut away at the mat. I have never had any luck with takin just the polyp.
OBTW wear gloves when you start messing with them though cause some have a high toxicity level that can hurt you better safe than sorry.
