I have a 125g tank that I am setting up now. Still working on the canopy. My question is that I want the option to put whatever I want in it. Right now I have a 55g with a few fish plus a couple of soft corals. Not really much as all my money has been going to this tank. I wanted to go with 2 or 3 250w MH but the price is too much plus replacing the blubs every 6 to 8 months will add up. I bought 2 T5HO 54w ballast that will handle 2 blubs each. Question is how many bulbs do I need? I got so far 2 of the Actinic bulbs. Also the canopy is about 12" above the tank. I painted the inside white and will get individual reflectors for each one. Or is it a must that I have to get MH?
