more on walls

Hey everybody--
I have these little spiral-like things growing on my tank walls, they look like little white flecks, but up close they resemble a spiral shape, they're pretty stuck on there, they take a good scraping of a fingernail to get off, and now they're everywhere....

I'd leave them on the glass except maybe th front if they are that proliferant; they asdd to bioderversity & really do not have long of a life span; they also are filter feeders & can slightly assist in removing excess nutrients from the water;not harmful to the tank; just not always asthetically appealing
