Yes, great pics!!!! can't wait to see the babies too!!! Last night i was using one of the submersible lights as an "ultra sound unit" on Titan. You could see a round little ball in his pouch. And many other internal organs too.

If you do a quick search of the Seahorse forums there are a few lists floating around here about what is and isn't compatible with seahorses. Generally, seahorses should be kept in a species-only tank, but docile tankmates, such as gobies and some blennies are acceptable.

Personally, I have a Purple Firefish and a Highfin Goby with my two Tiger Tail Seahorses...

Just looked in your profile
If you were thinking of adding a seahorse or two to your current 55G tank, I wouldn't recommend it. You have fish in there that would eat the seahorse(s) out of house and home and would probably stress them, too.
I think it's time to start saving for another tank!!

Do you have a nursery set up? Please tell me you are planning on raising the fry?
Few, if any, hobbyists get the experience of raising fry. You are really lucky. I have not been at this forum for long, but I hope someone has given the "we get so much, we need to give back" speech?
Tell me you have set up a nursery and started cultures for these little fry that will be here tomorrow?

Haha, no, they wouldn't actually eat the seahorses. By "eat them out of house and home," I mean that you have some aggressive fish -the Tang and Royal Gramma for one; some clown fish can be aggressive, too- that would probably eat so voraciously that any seahorse you have with them would starve to death because they'd never get any food. Granted, you could spot-feed them, but even then, I don't suggest it. Plus, your current tank is stocked enough as it is, so best to keep your future seahorse in a separate tank.
Congrats on saving up money, though! You're just about there!

Sorry all....this is an old thread and I didnt see ur post until today

Anywho, 1st off the fry from these dwarves did not make it
but I do still have the adults and am waiting for some new babies in the future (I hope)
ClownFISH11- I "had" baby B&W clownd in with the dwarves but they were moved to my 75g so there were no mishaps when the fry arrived. Currently I have the dwarves along with 2 pipefish,a few mini brittle stars I caught out of my75g,a few VERY small hermits and a neon goby.
I do however have 3 tiger tail SH's in my 75 with the baby B&W's and 2 baby hippos with NO problems at all. Oh and a target manderin
Suzy- i have tried to raise fry befoer with very little success. I had one that lived to be 3 months old and then the dad SH had another batch of fry but he was sick so that got her sick and it was all downhill from there, it wasd heartbreaking

If my male tiger does produce, i wil def try again!!!

ya i dont have the blue tank or gramma anymore, and my clowns dont seem agressive do you think it would be okay?

Well u know the personalities of ur fish. I personally like to keep my SH's in my 75g. I only keep corals that will not sting and fish that arent aggressive.
The meanest fish in my tank is my dumb alge blenny(he killed my jawfish and a SH)

So I have a divider in my 75 right now b/c I cant catch his a** he is with my larger clowns.
So the tigertails are in the other half with LOTS of LR and PODS!!! I have 3 baby b&w clowns, 2 baby hippos and a target mandarin with the 3 tiger tails.
If u try it just make sure u have a back up tank if u see any aggresion or the horse not eating or what I would do if I saw my fish picking on my SH's...give them the boot right to the LFS!!

Just like i would like to do to the stupid alge blenny

do u want to put dwarves in the 55g?? U will have a problem with feeding if u do that.....Rykna had hers in a 45g with not so good results.

I have my dwarves in a 10g and my regular size horses are in my bigger tank
Im sorry I think I misunderstood
if u are starting a new tank for the dwarves I would say let it run for at least 4 weeks to be safe
I can have Rykna jump in here if I can find her today
we have struck up quite the friendship but I think her opinion is needed b/c she HAS done it..if u dont mind.
