More proof of the need for tort reform

It's certainly an indication.
I used to be a huge proponent of tort reform. Trouble is that if the law were actually adjusted so as to hold people accountable for their own stupidity, corporations would be exonorated from deceiving them.
As a consumer, you have a responsibility to determine the "truth." As a corporation, you have a responsibility to profess it.
It goes both ways.

Tort reform doesn't have to be a complicated matter. Allow the winner to petition the court to recover their legal costs from the loser, that right there would have eliminated the skankified bar rag's lawsuit in this case. Also punitive damages. I don't think they should be limited. I think they should go to the appropriate government just like a fine. Let the lawyer and client split 20% of any punis 50/50
