most attractive fish?

Ok, I keep getting my list of fish I want scrubbed by tank size or feeding issues. I really only have one fish I am dead set on getting eventually, and that is a mystery wrasse. My girlfriend wants a flame hawkfish cause they had one at the store and it watched her. I don't personally understand the attraction there, but to each their own. We both kinda like the coral beauty, but I like the emperor angel better. Unfortunately he requires a bigger tank. Anyways, to the point... I have a 55 gallon tank and plan on setting up a reef. Was hoping I could get a few suggestions on what everyone thinks are the most attractive fish that require a 55 or less and are reef safe. I know the pictures never do them justice, and that's all I have to pick fish by. My lfs don't stock much sw fish. I like bright colors and unique patterns. Basically I want a very exotic looking tank. Thanks for any suggestions!

well, some flame me but it's worked for 2 years so far. I think the Powder Blue tang is the most beautiful fish out there. It can work in a 55 if you have a small amt of fish and limited LR so there is plenty of room to swim.

You can do the mystery wrasse and hawkfish in your tank, no problem. I think the most colorful fish out there is the mandarins, but wouldn't suggest them in a newly set up 55. Flame angels are usually more colorful then CB. And purple firefish add nice color to a tank. Personally, I look for personality of the different fish over color. I have had many fish over the yrs and gotta say at this point, I go for personality
Nothing like a bi color blenny and/or midas to entertain you. Also watching a clown with its anenome is always fun. JMO.
