In the wild, might be a BTA.
In our tanks, deffinatly the BTA, since they require less lights and many folks don't spend the money on the best they can get.

Ok, so how much light would be enough for a BTA.
I am currently running a 135 gal with a 48" 110wx2 VHO...
I have a pair of false percs along with a blue and yellow tang
and a nice auriga butterfly. All seem quite happy with each
other by the way, nobody seems to bother anyone at all, the
percs seem defenately a pair as they are inseparable.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

i think you need more. You need about 4-5 watts per galleon or if you don't like that, you could go with MH lights and then you would most defanently have enough light. For info on MH lights just search for them on this site

Yea, MH would be better because they are stronger and would cost just about the same amout as the VHO's you'd need to add. You can get 2x250 watt MH lights, and it would go great with actinic VHO bulbs.

Thanks for the advice....
I do have one prob though...I am using a full canopy and the
current VHO takes up most of the available space on top of the tank....
The light I want to add would have to be incorporated into the
canopy and I am worried about the heat the MH's would generate.
Any suggestions?
Even if I ditched the canopy hanging MH's are out, I have a 12
foot ceiling height.
I have seen some newer lights that are pretty nice, I think they
are Techteks or something along that name?
Would those or something like them work in my hood?
Thanks again...
