The rare Platinum Arowana is the most expensive fish in the world. It is 15" and owned by Aro Dynasty, a fish breeder based in Singapore.
It was offered $80,000.00 and a UK importer offered £200,000 or nearly US $400,000.00. Wow! That's a lot of money!

The Arowana is possibly my second favorite freshwater fish, topping that is the discus

A good friend of mine had his 10" Jardini (spelling?) Arowana jump out of his tank while he was at work. Very cool fish, He was crushed. That was his baby. It was $120.00
