planning a 190 gal where my 90 now sits problem is need about 1 month to complete construction for new tank question what is best way to store about 100 lbs of substrate without loosing much life on it
put it in a rubbermaid container with a power head, heater, and ghost feed it just enough to keep the bacteria live. it wouldnt hurt to throw in a few snails.
The substrate will do fine in a Rubbermaid container/trash can as long as it is wet, at a decent temperature, and there is water movement. Lighting is optional, but not necessary.
