Moving a 75 gallon tank with fish to my apartment from office

Hey guys. I've been lurking on this forum for a week or so, as I needed to upgrade my skimmer and get better filtration. I have now purchased a Remora Pro from ---- and am going to be sticking with my current filter as I mainly needed a better skimmer, so thanks for that great info all!
Anyways, my setup is a 75 gal saltwater with 1 yellow tang, 2 clownfish, 2 cardinals, 1 goby, 1 coral beauty and 1 blue knee hermit. The setup is at my office, and has been for 1.5 yrs. I need to move the whole dang thing to my apartment. I already have a plan in place, but I am just looking for input from anybody who has had to "move" a tank, anything would be good from small tips to big things. I'm going to incorporate a 25% water change at the same time too, so I only have to haul 60 gals of water instead of 75, hehe.
Anyways, I'm thinking I should do this if I can:
- clean all the rock and sediment before putting it back in the tank? I'm not sure how to handle the rock as I know good stuff as well as bad stuff gets in there and it's not good to mix it up ever really. So I'm thinking washing it will remove bad effects, but might also ruin some of the good stuff in the sediment?
- clean the entire inside of the tank while it is empty, no soap of course
- Can my fish survive in a 5 gallon bucket for a day or two?
- Maybe this is a bad idea overall
- Would it be best to set up a buffer tank, move the fish in there, set up the tank again, then move them back into their normal tank?
Actually the more I think about this the more I'm thinking this is overall a bad idea to move the tank, but I have no choice.

sounds ok other that... why do you need to clean ur rock?? U have algae or something?? Ur fish will be ok for a day or 2 in a bucket, just make sure you have an air stone in there and a few rocks for them to hide

Cool thanks, I guess I just feel guilty about puttin the fish in a bucket for a couple days, I wouldn't want that done to me, hehe.
After reading my post I realized it sounds cofusing. I have live rock in the tank, and then there is the sediment on the bottom.
The sediment on the bottom has all kinds of waste in it, at least from what I can tell when I vaccuum it. I am thinking I should clean this sediment, not the live rock, since it seems there is a lot of waste in it that should not be put back in the tank if possible.
The live rock I will be very careful with to make sure it retains as much of it's good stuff as possible.
I only really have a problem with the brown/red growth in the tank, no green algae problems.
thanks for the input so quick!
