Moving a tank

I am moving a fish only tank from one house to another. Are there any suggestions on how to do this without losing any fish.

I moved my 125g 3 times without losing anything. I removed all the CC and LR, left the fish in the tank and moved it last, so that the fish had minimal time to get stressed out. Put the tank on a furniture dolley threw it in the truck, and it was the first thing set back up in the new house. Haven't lost anything yet due to moving. You have to make sure you have the spot picked out and your water all ready to go, so that you can get the tank into place and put it back together quickly. If inclined, get a couple of 30 trash cans and dump some of your tank water in there, so that you can use it to fill the tank with that water instead of using all new water.

When I moved my tank, I tried to keep as much water as possible. Get a bunch of 20G totes and put about 8 gallons in each. I made the mistake of buying to large of a tote, then couldn't move it
. My fish did get a little stressed, my tang got some ick for a month, but I didn't loose anything and the ick cleared up on its own

So if i just reuse the same water i will just have to let the tank cycle for a couple hours before adding the fish back in? I also want to add some more sand would this affect anything or stress out the fish too much?

Oh its going to stress them, but you should be ok. Adding more sand should not be a problem either. And yes, use as much of your old water as possible.
