I have an elegance coral that I'm selling tonight. I need help on how to get it off the rock without damaging it. It has incrusted itself on the rock so I cant just break the glue bond that I used to keep it there. Any help here would be great!
oh yeah, when I got it I didnt' know what it was so I didn't know that it should be on the sand. It's done really well where it is so I never moved it. Just and FYI

Take the rock out and pretty quickly use a hammer and screwdriver to dig around the coral and break the rock off.

really? the rock it's on isn't your average live rock. it's not very porrous (sp?). I forgot what kind it is though. I'll try that I guess if nobody can think of another way. These are just really heavy dense rocks that I used to fill in space in the tank.

with a hammer, it should break apart most lr.
well, it seems that's my ONLY option. I have a post on -- also and NOBODY has posted on that thread. So, I'll go find a non rusty screwdriver and a hammer..... hmmm. I wonder if my boyfriend will get mad at me using his tools?

Nice heavy wide flat blade screwdriver and a heavy hammer.
well, I got it off. But the screwdriver and hammer did absolutely NOTHING to this freak of a rock. I even tried a heavy dutey power drill and still nothing but a small divit!
Turns out that just pushing the coral a little harder than I would normaly be comfortable with did the trick. This happened accedentaly while trying the power drill thing. In the process I managed to break the pretty purple tips off of the only acro I have in the tank. So, in closing I would like to say "DONT BUY THIS KIND OF ROCK!" Thanks for all the help guys!
