Moving and housing my eel

I must be missing something since you said you HAVE to take it with you. If you're worried about feeding it, don't...your eel will be fine for a week on its own...just make sure it can't escape.
If for whatever reason you HAVE to travel with the eel, use a 5 gal bucket with a perforated snap-on lid, a battery-operated air pump (just shove a piece of rigid airline into one of the holes in the lid), and a piece of PVC or ABS pipe for the eel to hide in. In fact, I probably wouldn't even feed it at all to keep the water quality up (let it fast a couple of days before you move it too). You'll likely have to replace a gallon of water or so about every-other day with new SW as well.

Thanks for the advice!
Yeah, sadly enough i do HAVE to take him, its due to dorm regulation and rules that i have no say in, even after a talk with the hall director. so, my only option is to bring the little guy with.
i think ill take ur idea with the bucket, holes and air pump. and i was planning on not feeding a few days before and sparingly during the week.
do you think using a week old filter pad from the main system in the temporary tank would be a good idea? as to bring some of the bio filtration with?

If you can swing it, established media won't hurt, for sure.
I have actually kept a large SFE in a bucket of LR and some circulation for a few days with no problems at all in an "emergency".
