Moving fish from QT to DT?

You should still because water conditions will definitely be different between the two tanks. You have to consider nitrates, alk, pH, among other things. It's still a shock, and minimizing that is your best bet at keeping the fish happy and healthy.

when i put my hippo in the qt and there was an amona spike but i had to go to school i put him in the DT without acclimation and he survived
