I currently have a 12g that has been up and running for about 16months now and I'm ready to move onto a bigger tank and looking for some advice.
I have a JBJ NC 28 HQ1 coming in the mail and after I get it filled with water and sand I was wondering how to go about transferring the contents of my tank.
A coworker told me that I should just be able to transfer the 10-15lbs of live rock, sand, corals, and livestock with out having to cycle the tank if I transferred the water also.
Basically my question is if that is true and what is the best way to transfer the sand bed over.
I have tons of coepods, baby peppermint shrimp(had one shrimp spawn every 2-3 weeks for 6 months), and other inverts like peanut worms in my sand bed that I would like to transfer over.
Any advice is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
