moving mushrooms

I have several larger pieces of l.r. that have become overgrown with mushrooms.
It's similar to a forest in that there are the large mushrooms forming a canopy and the smaller ones trying to peak out from underneath.
Is there a way of moving the smaller ones to another rock?

You could cut off the foot of the mushroom if you really wanted to. Once they know its too packed, they will start detatching and attaching to wherever they land, to expand the colony.

I would also not recommend cutting off the foot on second thought. That might put it into a ton of stress, dont know how well it would react.
