moving prizm skimmer to sump

hey folks
i would like to move my prizm hang on protein skimmer down to my sump but I don't have sufficent head with the depth of the water in the sump to make the skimmer work properly. just wondering if anyone has had this problem or has any suggestions before i give up and either get a new skimmer or move it back to my main tank. thanks!

to my knowledge prizims are designed to be hang on the back only and are not made for sumps or wetdrys

yes, but i was hoping to find a way to hang it on the tank i use as my sump tank...it's still a tank, just smaller.. see what i mean? i recognize this may just be silly.

Don't give up! There is the way to move Prizm to your sump by addind another section in your sump.

I have just moved my prism to the sump by using a skinny plastic bottle and the return of my canister filter. The plastic bottle is long enough to reach the bottom of the intake arm of the skimmer. The return flow from the canister filter is sufficient to supply the skimmer and the excess overflows back into the sump. Works great, hope this gives you a few ideas!

Yes, this is a way to make your Prizm work within the pump
