Moving to a larger tank

I currently have a 125 and a 240 up and running. Right now everything is in my 125 gal. I was wondering can i just move everything into the larger tank like the live rock without having some sort of ammonia spike? The live rock has been in the 125 for over a year so i don't think it would ccause a spike. And what would be the best way to move the fish without causing too much stress. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

If the 240 is stable in its cycle, then have water para/ as close as possible to the other and then switch. IMO start with the LR, get it in new tank monitor para. if no spike then day or so move fish.
Congrats, post some pics!!

Well i started moving the live rock last night and my blue head wrasse was stowed away and showed up in the other tank. He is doing fine swimming around checking things out. I haven't had time to do any test but i will test before i start moving any more fish.

well i got everything moved and everyone seems to be doing fine. They all seem to love the extra space they have. I have to tear down my 125 now and move it to another room in my house and then try and catch my porcupine puffer and koran angel again so i can begin my reef tank!!
