Mud?? How Much!?!?

Hi All,
I have a reef tank with some fish and was looking at my refugium and I believe I need more mud in there? I'm not sure if I add sand or sand and mud or what? I have about 1.5 inches of it inside my tank right now.. How many inches should I have? My tank is 150gal. I did see some mud which is called walts FIJI mud or something but I am not sure if that is the right stuff and how much I need to put in there! Please help with what to do.

I only keep 1.5 to 2 inches of mud in mine .

IMO this refugium mud thing is just another way to extract a few more bucks out of you. I keep my refugiums bare bottom, even with a filtersock and a prefilter there is always a buildup of detritus or this brown gunk in the bottom of the refugium, by keeping it bare you can vaccume or clean it as needed. I also use a layer of LR rubble and keep all my smaller pieces of LR in the refugium along with huge chunks of chaeto
