mud or sand

What's everybodys opinon on Miracle Mud® or "live" sand in the plenium/sump?
I've done some reading online but it looks mostly liek marketing material on the mud. No big pros / cons...

IMO I use both. I have about 3 inches of LS, with 2 inches of MM on top. The miracle mud was a bit pricey, but I have seen good results. I have sean people on here say that MM has silicates in it...but my diatom bloom has dissapeared since I started using it.
