Would running multiple display tanks on one system be possible?
Im playing with ideas for a intergrated kitchen island and tanks.
I would like ot get 2 nano to maybe 50g display tanks tanks at either end of the island.
And run them on one under counter sump or filter.
Or a series of smaller speices tanks...(like a line of differnt leaf/stone fish)
the idea is a shot in the dark ATM but i bet some one has thaught of it before.....
What do LFS do with there walls of tanks?

Dealers generally have an overflow at each tank. As water pumps in, it drains out at the same rate. If you put an overflow in each tank like that, you can combine all the drains together into one system, then split the output from your pump across all tanks, with a ball valve in between to regulate the flow on a per tank basis.
I suggest you not do this though. Such a system gets difficult with all all the plumbing, and it has several disadvantages.
First, you have one big point of failure. If your pump dies or your heat goes out, you have multiple tanks at risk.
Second, if disease strikes, it hits all of your tanks at once .
Third, you can't run different types of tanks unless everything is the same. I run a FO and a reef in the same room, but I run different systems because they run at different SGs.
For the number of tanks you have, I'd say you are better off running separate filters. Running a common system really only makes sense if you have a lot of tanks.. maybe 10 or more.

My intent is to get a long lineir display area, preferably made of mulitpe sections. split by mullions.
maybe one system with preferated dividers or tubes much like those eel tanks.
I also have limited filter space as the island still needs to function for the kitchen first.
