I was cleaning the glass earlier and I guess a snail was left upside down...this beast snatched the snail out of the shell and starting feasting...I just happened to catch him in the act and shot several photos of the murder!!!!!

Now....lots of folks swear that the won't keep crabs for this reason....but...I find the diversity to be very interesting...and it is a natural process....plus if ya get real lucky you can capture some very interesting photos...if you find yourself in the right place at the right time.

Thanks Jmick...I think they turned out really well myself. Having a good camera helps...taking numerous photos of the display helps....and being very lucky helps....and believe me I need all the help I can get.

Thanks......settings were numerous...I normally shoot in aperture mode and adjust several times to get various looks....I also use the auto mode a lot...all of the pics above were in macro mode with no flash....iso 100...and assorted apertures.

I'm actively saving for mine...on the side I make a few hundred a month plus I have a employee stock purchase plan I can dip into...maybe by mid summer I'll have the funds to get one and my wife won't even know what happen until I bring it home.....then she'll kill me!!!!

I have one blue legged hermit who is a killer also. His prey of choice are cap snails, he has yet to attack one of the big Mexican turbos though.
Great shot.
