Mushroom problem

I still can't get my little mushroom to attach to anything. I tried using a rubber band but it slimed out of it. Am I putting it in the wrong place or what? I tried to put it in a low flow area so it wouldn't get blown off the rocks. Any help?

Put it into a small tupperware container with lots of holes in the lid, put the small piece of LR and the shroom in the container on your SB. Or use a net like a hair net wrap it around the LR piece and the shroom.

Could I do this without putting it in a container? And how do I know when it has attached itself?

Container works best, IMO.
Shake the container (gently) after a few days and see if they separate.
