mushroom

If i cut a mushroom off a rock and put it in a hang-on tank in my big tank how long will it take the mushroom to stay on the new rock.Or is there something i should do to it to get it to stay on.

if i have to place loose shrooms in my tank, i usually find a nice spot for them then unplug all my powerheads, which will allow them to take to the substrate, then after an hour i plug everything back in. it worked for me so far!
