mushrooms on the loose

Some of my mushroom polyps can't find a place to settle down and call home. There are 3 ranging from 3/4 to 3" open diameter that haven't attached to any live rock. My tank has several others that are attached to rocks. But these 3 seem to drift wherever the current takes them. I've had the largest one for almost a month now and it just wont attach itself. Certainly this can't be good for them. Any ideas?

Ok there has to be a spot that doesnt get a lot of current. I have taken small broken pieces of LR and placed them in these areas and, set the mushroom on them and they usally will attach as long as there healthy. I have another problem my clarkie clown likes to do housekeeping and pluck mushrooms off our rocks for no apparent reason. So I do alot of shroom chaseing because of her. My method seems to work well. hope this helps....fixit ;)

thanks. luckily they seem healthy. i've tried to seclude them but to no avail. i think the between my damsel and my urhcin they may not stand a chance. i forgot to mention that mine is a 6 gal preditor tank for mantis shrimp. theres not much room to hide them. i didnt know if they can live without being attached to rock...
